Facundo "Facu" Campazzo (born March 23, 1991) is a professional basketball player from Argentina. He plays as a point guard for Real Madrid in Spain. He is also a key player for the Argentina national basketball team. Many people think he is a very clever and creative player.

Facundo Campazzo has won many awards and championships. With Real Madrid, he won the EuroLeague championship twice, in 2015 and 2018. He was also named to the All-EuroLeague First Team in 2024. When playing for Argentina, he helped his team win a silver medal at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Facundo Campazzo's Basketball Journey

Starting in Argentina: Peñarol (2008–2014)

Facundo Campazzo started his professional basketball career in 2008. He joined the Argentine League team, Peñarol de Mar del Plata. With Peñarol, he won many titles.

  • He helped them win the Argentine League championship four times. These wins were in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014.
  • He also won the Argentine Cup in 2010.
  • His team won the Argentine Super 8 Tournament three times.
  • They also won the FIBA Americas League championship in 2010.

Facundo received many individual awards during this time. He was named the "Revelation of the Year" in 2010. He was also the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the Argentine Cup in 2010. He earned the MVP title for the Argentine Super 8 Tournament in 2011 and 2013. In 2012, he was named the "Most Improved Player." He was also the MVP of the Argentine League Finals in both 2012 and 2014.

Moving to Spain: Real Madrid (2014–2020)

In August 2014, Facundo Campazzo signed a three-year contract with Real Madrid. This is a famous team in the Spanish League.

  • In the 2014–15 season, Real Madrid won the EuroLeague championship. They beat the Greek team Olympiacos in the final game.
  • Real Madrid also won the Spanish ACB League championship that season. This meant they achieved the "triple crown" by winning three major titles.

Short Time with Dallas Mavericks (2022)

In October 2022, Campazzo signed with the Dallas Mavericks. He played a few games for them before being released in November 2022.
