Where is Faetano?
Faetano is located in the small country of San Marino. It shares its borders with other towns in San Marino. These towns are Montegiardino, Fiorentino, Borgo Maggiore, and Domagnano. It also borders some towns in Italy, which are Coriano, Montescudo, and Sassofeltrio.
Parts of Faetano
Like many towns, Faetano is divided into smaller areas called curazie. Think of them as neighborhoods or smaller villages within the main town. Faetano has four of these curazie:
- Cà Chiavello
- Calligaria
- Corianino
- Monte Pulito
A Look at Faetano's Past
Faetano became part of San Marino a long time ago, in the year 1463. This happened during San Marino's last big expansion of its territory. Faetano joined San Marino willingly, which means they chose to become part of the country.
Faetano and Other Countries
Faetano has a special connection with a town in France. This is called "town twinning." It means the two towns agree to be friends and often share cultural events or ideas. Faetano is twinned with:
Pont-à-Vendin, France (since 2014)
