Fairview is a small city located in the southeastern part of Newton County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2010, about 383 people lived there. By 2020, the population grew to 419. It is considered part of the larger Joplin Metropolitan Area.

Fairview is situated along Missouri Route 86. This road helps connect the city to other towns nearby. It is about 18 miles (29 km) east-southeast of Neosho. The city is also just one mile (1.6 km) west of the border with Barry County. Another town, Stella, is about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) to the southwest.
