The Fall River is a small but interesting stream located in the northeastern part of Minnesota, United States. It's about 3.3-mile-long (5.3 km), which is roughly the distance you might walk in an hour!
This river is special because it drops a huge 860 feet (260 m) as it flows towards Lake Superior. That's like falling from an 86-story building! Most of this big drop happens in just the last 2.2 miles (3.5 km) of its journey, making it a very steep and fast-flowing river in places.

From there, it flows downhill, making its way to Good Harbor Bay. This bay is part of Lake Superior, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world. So, the Fall River eventually empties into this massive lake.
