Fallon Bowman's Music Journey
Starting with Kittie
When Fallon was 14 years old, she helped start the band Kittie. She formed the band with her classmate Mercedes Lander and Mercedes' sister, Morgan Lander. Fallon played the guitar and sang background vocals for the band. You can hear her on their album Spit and the Paperdoll EP. She left Kittie in August 2001.
Creating Amphibious Assault
In 2003, Fallon found the term "amphibious assault" in a book. She thought it would be a cool name for an industrial band. Industrial music often uses electronic sounds and machines.
Fallon then recorded some songs with the band Pigface. These songs were for Pigface's 2003 album, Easy Listening. She really enjoyed making music again. This made her want to write her own songs.
She bought a sequencer, which is a tool to arrange music. She started exploring the industrial music style. Fallon filled her basement with drum machines and synthesizers. She wrote the songs for Amphibious Assault's first album, District Six. This album was released by the Social Unrest label. Fallon's former bandmate from Kittie, Talena Atfield, and guitarist Pete Henderson also helped with this project.
New Albums and Projects
Amphibious Assault's second album was finished and planned for release in 2005. However, it was delayed because Fallon was busy with school. She also missed some live shows with Pigface because of her studies.
On January 10, 2007, Fallon announced that the second album was ready. It was called On Better Days and Sin-Eating. Only 500 physical copies were made, but you could also download it online.
In 2011, Fallon started a five-person band called The Grace Dynasty. Rhim from the band The Birthday Massacre played drums. The band performed several live shows. After they finished recording their first album, they decided to release it under Fallon's own name. The album, Human Conditional, came out on January 25, 2011.
In November 2016, Fallon joined Pigface for their 25th anniversary celebration in Chicago. She also performed with Pigface again in November 2019 in Toronto.
In January 2021, Fallon announced that Amphibious Assault was returning. A new album, Simulacrima, was released digitally on February 12, 2021. Physical copies became available a few months later. In January 2022, Amphibious Assault released a new song called "Death Ship."
Other Activities
In 2010, Fallon was part of a fun prank on the TV show Freak Encounters. This show was on the Animal Planet channel. The episode showed that Fallon has a degree in archaeology. This means she studied ancient history and cultures by digging up old things. Fallon has also appeared in commercials and movies.
