Musical journey
Fallon Bowman helped start the band Kittie when she was just 14 years old. She formed the band with her classmate Mercedes Lander and Mercedes' sister, Morgan Lander. Fallon played guitar and sang background vocals for Kittie. You can hear her on their album Spit and the Paperdoll EP. She left Kittie in August 2001.
In 2003, Fallon found the term "amphibious assault" in a Tom Clancy novel. She thought it would be a cool name for an industrial band. Industrial music often uses electronic sounds and machines. She then recorded some songs with the band Pigface. These songs were for Pigface's 2003 album, Easy Listening.
Fallon really enjoyed making music again. This made her want to write her own songs. She bought a sequencer, which is a tool to arrange music. She started exploring the industrial music style. Fallon filled her basement with drum machines and synthesizers. She wrote the songs for her first Amphibious Assault album, District Six. This album came out on the Social Unrest label. Fallon's former Kittie bandmate, bassist Talena Atfield, also helped with this project. Guitarist Pete Henderson also contributed.
Amphibious Assault's second album was finished in 2005. It was called On Better Days and Sin-Eating. The release was delayed because Fallon was busy with school. She also missed some live shows with Pigface because of her school schedule. On January 10, 2007, Fallon announced the album was ready. It was available to buy on the Amphibious Assault website. Only 500 physical copies were made. You could also download the album digitally.
In 2011, Fallon started a new band called The Grace Dynasty. This band had five members. Rhim from the band The Birthday Massacre played drums. The Grace Dynasty played several live shows. They then announced they would release their first album. After recording, they decided to release the album under Fallon's name instead. The album, Human Conditional, came out on January 25, 2011.
In November 2016, Fallon joined Pigface for a special event. It was their 25th anniversary celebration in Chicago. In November 2019, she played with Pigface again. This concert was at Lee's Palace in Toronto.
In January 2021, Fallon announced that Amphibious Assault was back! She also shared news about a new album. The album was called Simulacrima. It was released digitally on February 12, 2021. Physical copies came out a few months later. In January 2022, Amphibious Assault released a new song. It was a single called "Death Ship".
