Fanny is a small, quiet place in Wyoming County, West Virginia, in the United States. It's not a big city or a town with its own government. Instead, it's what we call an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and people living together without a formal city council or mayor. Fanny is located right next to a stream called Indian Creek.
A Look Back in Time
Even though Fanny is a small community, it once had its very own post office! This post office opened its doors in 1907. It helped people send and receive letters and packages for many years. However, after about 13 years, the post office closed down in 1920. Today, people in Fanny get their mail from a nearby post office.
