Faranah is an important region located in the east-central part of Guinea, a country in West Africa. It is known for its beautiful landscapes and friendly communities. The main city and capital of this region is also called Faranah.

About Faranah Region

Faranah Region is a large area in Guinea. It shares its borders with two other countries: Sierra Leone to the west and Mali to the northeast. Inside Guinea, Faranah also borders several other regions. These include the Kankan Region, Mamou Region, Nzérékoré Region, and Labé Region.

As of the year 2014, about 942,733 people lived in the Faranah Region. This makes it a home for many families and communities. The region covers a large area of land, about 35,581 square kilometers (which is about 13,738 square miles). This vast space includes different types of land, from forests to open areas.
