Fatau Dauda (born April 6, 1985) is a former professional footballer from Ghana. He was a talented goalkeeper who played for many clubs and also represented his country, Ghana, in international matches.

Club Career Highlights
Fatau Dauda started his football journey in 2004. He began with Okwawu United, a club in Ghana's Division 1 League.
Playing for Ashanti Gold
In 2006, Dauda joined Ashanti Gold S.C., a top club in his hometown of Obuasi. He quickly became a key player. In 2007, he was part of the Ghana Premier League All-Star Team. The next year, on July 5, 2008, he was named Goalkeeper of the Year in Ghana.
Moving to South Africa
In 2013, Dauda moved to South Africa to play for Orlando Pirates F.C.. He was a backup goalkeeper there and played in three matches. The next season, he moved to Chippa United F.C.. He played only two matches before leaving the club.
Return to Ashanti Gold
On October 1, 2014, Dauda returned to his former club, Ashanti Gold. He continued to play well for them.
Playing for Enyimba
In December 2016, Dauda joined Enyimba International F.C.. This is a famous club that has won the African Champions League twice.
International Matches
Fatau Dauda also had a great career playing for the Ghana national team.
Africa Cup of Nations
He was part of the Ghana team for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations. He then became the main goalkeeper for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
FIFA World Cup Appearance
On May 12, 2014, Ghana's coach, Akwasi Appiah, chose Dauda for the team's first list of players for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. A few weeks later, on June 1, he was confirmed as one of the 23 players who traveled to Brazil for the World Cup.
Personal Life
In September 2024, Fatau Dauda was involved in a car accident. He was with fellow footballers Otto Addo and John Paintsil. Their vehicle was damaged when it had to avoid a head-on crash with another truck. The Ghana Football Association quickly announced that all three were in stable condition after the incident.
