Faulkton is a city in South Dakota, United States. It is the main city and county seat of Faulk County. In 2020, about 826 people lived there. Faulkton is also known as "The Carousel City."

History of Faulkton
Faulkton was first planned out in 1886. It was named after Andrew Jackson Faulk. He was the third Governor of Dakota Territory. The city officially became a city in the same year, 1886.
Geography and Climate
Faulkton is a small city. It covers about 1 square mile (2.6 square kilometers) of land. There is no water area within the city limits.
