Fausto Zapata Loredo (born December 18, 1940 – died December 15, 2014) was an important Mexican public figure. He was a lawyer, a politician, a diplomat, a journalist, and even a television host.
He is remembered for serving as the Governor of San Luis Potosí for a short time in 1991. He stepped down from his role as governor because of disagreements about the election results. Before that, he was a member of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
