Fay Presto (born May 17, 1948) is the stage name of Letitia Winter, a famous British magician. She is well-known for her amazing close-up magic, where she performs tricks right in front of people, often using everyday objects. Fay is also a special member of The Inner Magic Circle, a very respected group for magicians.

Fay Presto's Career

Letitia Winter first worked as a lab assistant. Later, she became interested in magic when she was in her late thirties. She joined The Magic Circle, a famous group for magicians. However, she was asked to leave when she began her transition. In 1991, The Magic Circle voted to allow women to join. Fay was one of the first women to become a member again.

As Fay Presto, she became an expert in close-up magic. For many years, she performed regularly at a famous restaurant in London called Langan's Brasserie. One of her most famous tricks is the "bottle through the table." This trick was even ranked as the 37th greatest magic trick ever on a TV show called 50 Greatest Magic Tricks.

From 2014 to 2017, Fay was part of a UK touring show called Champions of Magic. She performed alongside other talented magicians like Edward Hilsum and Alex McLear. Fay has also been featured in documentaries. In 1994, she was in a BBC show called 40 Minutes, in an episode titled "Fay Presto: Illusions of Grandeur." In 2017, another documentary about her was released, called Fay Presto, the Queen of Close-up.
