Federico "Fede" San Emeterio Díaz (born March 16, 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer. He plays as a central midfielder for Cádiz.

Fede's Football Journey
Starting at Racing
Fede was born in Sierra de Ibio, Mazcuerras, Spain. He joined the youth team of Racing de Santander when he was 10 years old in 2007. Fede made his first senior team appearance on January 14, 2014. This was in a Copa del Rey match, a big cup competition in Spain. He came on as a substitute in a 2–0 win.
Later, on May 10, he played his first game in the Segunda División B, which is a lower professional league. On August 24, he played his first match as a professional in the Segunda División, a higher league. Racing Santander was relegated that season, but Fede played in 35 games. He scored his first goal for the senior team on October 4, 2015.
Playing for Sevilla B
On August 16, 2016, Fede and his twin brother moved to Sevilla Atlético, which is the reserve team for Sevilla. They played in the second division. Fede scored three goals in 39 games during his second year with the team. However, Sevilla B finished last and was relegated.
Time at Valladolid
Fede joined Real Valladolid on August 16, 2018. He signed a three-year contract. Right away, he was loaned to Granada CF, another team in the second division. He played 36 games for Granada.
Fede made his debut in La Liga, Spain's top football league, with Real Valladolid. This happened on August 24, 2019, in a 1–1 draw against Real Madrid.
Joining Cádiz
On January 6, 2022, Fede was loaned to Cádiz CF, another team in La Liga. He joined them permanently on August 7, 2022. He signed a four-year contract with Cádiz.
Fede had a tough time during the 2023–24 season. He missed almost all of it because of ongoing knee injuries.
Fede's Family Life
Fede has a twin brother named Borja. Borja is also a professional footballer. He plays as a defender and also started his career in the youth teams at Racing.
