Federico Luppi (born February 23, 1936 – died October 20, 2017) was a famous actor from Argentina and Spain. He acted in movies, TV shows, radio plays, and on stage. Federico Luppi won many awards for his acting during his long career. One special award was the Concha de Plata from the San Sebastian International Film Festival.

About Federico Luppi
Federico Luppi was a very busy actor. He worked mostly in movies made in Argentina. But he also acted in films and TV shows in other countries like Chile, Mexico, Spain, and the United States.
He started acting in 1964. Over his career, he appeared in almost 100 movies and 50 television series! His very first movies were Pajarito Gómez and Psique y Sexo in 1965. In 2004, he also directed his first movie, called Pasos (which means Steps). This film was made in Spain.
Working with Famous Directors
Federico Luppi worked with many well-known directors. He appeared in English-language films like Men with Guns and Los pasos perdidos.
He was a favorite actor of the famous director Guillermo del Toro. They worked together on three of del Toro's movies:

Federico Luppi received many awards for his acting. He earned a Konex Merit Diploma three times (in 1981, 1991, and 2001). This award celebrates important people in Argentine entertainment.
In 1996, he was nominated for a Goya Award for "Best Actor in a Leading Role." This was for his work in the movie Nobody Will Speak of Us When We're Dead.
Federico Luppi became a citizen of Spain in June 2003. One of his last movies was The 33 in 2015.
