Felicity Wishes facts for kids
Felicity Wishes is a popular series of children's books from the United Kingdom. It was created, written, and illustrated by Emma Thomson. There are over 140 books in the series, including storybooks, activity books, and picture books. Because the books were so well-liked, a Felicity Wishes magazine was also created, along with many other fun products.
The stories are all about a fairy named Felicity Wishes and her best friends: Holly, Polly, Daisy, and later, Winnie. Felicity lives in a make-believe town called Little Blossoming, which is part of Fairy World. Fairy World is a lot like our world, but with some big differences. For example, fairies live forever, there are no men, no meat-eating, no money, and no crime.
Most of the books take place before Felicity and her friends graduate from the School of Nine Wishes. Here, they learn all sorts of fairy lessons and enjoy cakes and tea at Sparkles Cafe. Felicity has also traveled to many different places in Fairy World. In these books, Felicity and her friends have one pair of wings because they are still students. Fairies who have graduated get two pairs of wings! Felicity always has a little blue bird named Bertie Dishes with her. He's the only male character in the entire book series.
