Felix Hall was an African-American soldier who had volunteered to join a special unit for Black soldiers at Fort Benning. He was last seen alive on February 12, 1941. He was in an area of the fort where white soldiers lived. Six weeks later, on March 28, his body was found near the Chattahoochee River.
