Felix Rosenqvist: A Racing Star
Early Racing Days
Felix began his racing journey in Asia, driving single-seater cars. He quickly showed his talent by winning the Formula Renault 2.0 Asia championship in 2008. The next year, in 2009, he also won the Formula Renault 2.0 Sweden/NEZ title.
In 2010, Felix competed in the German Formula Three Championship. He finished fifth overall, earning two wins and eight podium finishes. A podium means finishing in the top three. He also secured one pole position, which means starting the race from the very front.
Conquering Formula 3
In 2011, Felix moved up to the Formula 3 Euro Series with the Mücke Motorsport team. In his first year, he finished fifth, with one win and ten podiums. He also won the prestigious Masters of Formula 3 race.
The following year, 2012, Felix placed third in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He also achieved a second-place finish in the challenging Macau Grand Prix.
In 2013, Felix almost won the European Formula 3 Championship, finishing second. However, he won the Masters of Formula 3 again, starting from pole position.
In 2014, still with Mücke Motorsport, Felix won the Macau Grand Prix. He started that race from pole position and finished ahead of his teammate.
In 2015, Felix joined Prema Powerteam and had an amazing year. He won the FIA Formula 3 European Championship title with 13 victories and 24 podiums. He also won the Macau Grand Prix for the second time in a row. These achievements made him the most successful Formula 3 racer ever!
Moving Up: Indy Lights and GT Racing
In 2016, Felix raced in the Indy Lights series for Belardi Auto Racing. Even though he only competed in ten races, he managed to win three of them. He also had a successful test drive in an IndyCar with Chip Ganassi Racing.
Felix also competed in GT Racing, which involves powerful sports cars. In 2016, he won a race in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup. He also finished second in the famous 24 Hours of Spa endurance race.
DTM and Formula E Adventures
In 2016, Felix became a race driver in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) series. He had a great debut race in Moscow, finishing tenth and earning points.
In 2016, Felix joined the Mahindra Racing team in Formula E. This series features electric-powered cars. He won his first Formula E race in Berlin on June 10, 2017. This was also the first win for his team. He left Formula E at the end of 2018 to race in IndyCar.

In 2021, Felix moved to Arrow McLaren SP. During a race in Detroit in June 2021, he had a big crash due to a car issue. Luckily, he was not seriously hurt. He recovered quickly but missed a couple of races.
Felix continued with McLaren in 2022 and earned his first podium with the team in Toronto. He also secured three pole positions in 2023, meaning he started from the front of the grid. His best finish that year was second place in Portland.
In 2024, Felix joined Meyer Shank Racing (MSR). He quickly helped the team improve, even getting their first-ever IndyCar pole position at Long Beach. In 2025, he continued to perform well, finishing fourth in the 2025 Indianapolis 500. He also took second place at Road America, tying MSR's best non-Indy 500 result. He finished sixth in the championship standings that year.
The 2026 season started a bit tough for Felix. However, he earned a pole position and a podium finish at Long Beach. Then came the historic 2026 Indianapolis 500. Felix qualified fourth for the race. In an incredibly close finish, he won his first Indianapolis 500, beating David Malukas by a tiny margin of 0.0233 seconds!
