José Maria Fidélis dos Santos (born March 13, 1944 – died November 28, 2012), known simply as Fidélis, was a famous Brazilian football player. He was also a coach later in his life. Fidélis played as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the other team from scoring goals.
Fidélis was born in São José dos Campos, a city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. He became well-known for his strong defense on the field.
