This waterfall is special because it's a talus ribbon cascade. This means the water flows over a pile of broken rocks (talus) in a long, narrow stream (ribbon).

Getting to Fifty Road Cascade is an adventure!

  • Follow Fifty Road south. You will drive up the Niagara Escarpment, which is a big, steep cliff.
  • Once you reach the top of the hill, you can park your car on the right side of the road.
  • Now, walk back down Fifty Road until you reach the Bruce Trail.
  • Turn and walk east (to your right) on the Bruce Trail. Keep an eye out for the waterfall; it will be on the south side of the trail.
