The Finnish Ski Association (also known as Finnish: Suomen Hiihtoliitto in Finnish and Swedish: Finlands skidförbund in Swedish) is a group that helps manage and organize skiing sports in Finland. It's like the main office for skiing! Their main offices are in Helsinki and Lahti.
This association is part of a bigger international group called FIS. They are in charge of many different types of skiing in Finland. This includes cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic skiing (which combines cross-country and ski jumping), and alpine skiing (downhill skiing).
History of the Association
The Finnish Ski Association started a long time ago, in 1908. Back then, it had a different name. It was called Liitto Suomen hiihtourheilun edistämiseksi. The very first leader, or chairman, was Lennart Munck Af Flukila. The association got its current name, the Finnish Ski Association, in 1931.

This section lists the people who have been the main leaders, or chairmen, of the Finnish Ski Association over the years. The chairman is like the president of the association. They guide its work and make important decisions for Finnish skiing.
