Fioravanti is a yummy, fruit-flavored fizzy drink that was first sold way back in 1878 in Ecuador, a country in South America. It's super special because it was one of the very first soft drinks ever sold in stores! In 1991, a big company called The Coca-Cola Company bought Fioravanti.
Delicious Flavors of Fioravanti
Fioravanti first came out with a sweet strawberry flavor. Later, they added a crisp apple flavor too. In the summer of 2001, a new grape flavor was introduced, but it only lasted for about a year. There was also a "Fiora Manzana Verde," which means green apple, and it had a strong green color. However, this green apple flavor didn't become very popular in Ecuador.
In Ecuador, drinking Fioravanti, often called "Fiora" for short, has become a fun part of popular culture. People commonly ask for "Fiora fresa" (strawberry) or "Fiora Manzana" (apple).
Because many people from Ecuador live in Spain, Coca-Cola decided to bring strawberry-flavored Fioravanti to Spain. This was a three-month test that started in mid-October 2006, to see if people there would like it.
