About the First National Bank Building

A Landmark in Tulsa's Skyline
For a long time, this building was quite unique. It was the only skyscraper built in Tulsa between 1928 and 1960. This means that for 32 years, no other very tall buildings were constructed in the city. The last one before it was the 320 South Boston Building in 1928. After the First National Bank Building, the next big one was Boulder Towers West Tower in 1960.
Modern Style Architecture
The First National Bank Building is a great example of "modern style" architecture. This style often uses clean lines and simple shapes. It focuses on being useful and strong. In Tulsa, this building is the 7th-tallest modern-style skyscraper. Other tall modern buildings include the Cityplex Tower and the First Place Tower.
