The inauguration was the beginning of the term of Richard Nixon as President and Spiro Agnew as Vice President.
Chief Justice Earl Warren gave the oath of office to Nixon. Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen gave the oath to Spiro Agnew as Vice President.
