The Story of Flicka 2
Carrie Moves to the Ranch
The movie begins with Carrie McLaughlin (Tammin Sursok) living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her grandmother. Sadly, Carrie's mother has passed away. When her grandmother needs to move to a nursing home, Carrie has to make a big change.
She moves to a ranch in Wyoming to live with her father, Hank (Patrick Warburton). Carrie hasn't seen her father since she was a baby, so this is a completely new experience for her. She isn't very excited about country life at first.
Meeting Flicka
Soon, Carrie meets Flicka. Flicka is a beautiful black Mustang horse. She used to belong to Carrie's cousin, Katy. Katy had asked Hank to take care of Flicka when her family sold their ranch.
Flicka is a wild horse and can be dangerous. The ranch hands think Flicka misses Katy a lot. But one day, something special happens. A prairie rattlesnake attacks Carrie, and Flicka saves her! After this, Carrie and Flicka start to form a strong bond.
New Friends and Rivals
Carrie also meets Jake (Reilly Dolman), a friendly ranch hand. Jake hopes to become a country singer. Carrie and Jake like each other right away.
However, Carrie also meets Amy Walker (Emily Tennant). Amy is the proud daughter of a nearby ranch owner. Carrie and Amy don't get along, mostly because Amy also likes Jake.
Trouble for Flicka
Carrie disobeys her father's rules about visiting the nearest town. To teach her a lesson, Hank decides to move Flicka to the farm of one of his ranch hands, Toby (Clint Black).
Carrie visits Flicka at Toby's farm late at night. After Carrie leaves, Flicka tries to follow her home to Hank's ranch. But Flicka accidentally ends up on Amy's father's ranch, owned by HD Walker (Ted Whittall).
While on HD Walker's ranch, Flicka breaks a fence. This lets some of HD's valuable cows escape. Amy asks her father to demand Flicka as payment for the damage. HD threatens to sue Hank if he refuses.
Flicka's Freedom
Amy then starts training Flicka for a horse championship. But during the competition, Flicka doesn't do well. She gets scared by the crowd and the camera flashes.
Because of this, HD and Amy decide to have Flicka slaughtered the next day. But Carrie can't let that happen. During the night, she frees Flicka and lets her go. Flicka runs off to join a group of wild Mustangs nearby.
A Happy Reunion
One year later, Carrie, Hank, and Toby are riding in the mountains. They come across the same group of Mustangs. And guess what? Flicka is there! She is with her brand new foal (baby horse). It's a happy reunion for everyone.
