Tammin Sursok (born 19 August 1983) is a talented actress and singer from Australia and America. She is well known for her roles in popular TV shows. These include playing Dani Sutherland in Home and Away, Colleen Carlton in The Young and the Restless, and Jenna Marshall in Pretty Little Liars.

Early Life and Beginnings
Tammin Sursok was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her parents, Daryl and Julie Sursok, were musicians. When she was six years old, her family moved to Australia.
From a young age, Tammin loved acting, music, and dance. She joined the Sydney Youth Musical Theatre to follow her passions. She also studied speech and drama at Trinity Speech and Drama College and Ravenswood School for Girls in Sydney.
Career Highlights
Starting Out: Home and Away (2000–2004)
In 1999, after finishing school, Tammin got an agent. Her very first audition was for the popular Australian TV show Home and Away. She won the role of Dani Sutherland, who was the oldest daughter of the Sutherland family. Dani was a bit rebellious and helped run the Caravan Park.
Tammin felt very lucky to get the part, calling it an "incredible" experience. She even won a Logie Award for Most Popular New Female Talent for her role. This award is a big deal in Australian television!
Music Journey: Whatever Will Be (2004–2006)
In 2004, Tammin decided to leave Home and Away to focus on her music career and acting in the United States. She signed with Sony BMG Music Entertainment and started recording her first album.
Her solo album, Whatever Will Be, came out on 22 May 2005. It reached number thirteen on the Australian music charts. The first song from the album, "Pointless Relationship", was very popular. It reached number 5 on the Australian singles chart and was certified Platinum, meaning it sold a lot of copies! Her other songs, "Whatever Will Be" and "It's a Beautiful Thing", also did well.
Focusing on Acting: Films and TV (2006–Present)
After her music plans changed, Tammin moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2006 to focus on acting. She appeared in the film Aquamarine that same year.
In 2007, Tammin joined the American TV show The Young and the Restless. She played Colleen Carlton. She worked hard to understand her character's past. Tammin was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for her acting. She left the show after two years to work on other projects.
In 2009, Tammin starred in the Nickelodeon musical movie Spectacular!. She played Courtney, the lead singer of a high school choir. Tammin sang several songs for the movie's soundtrack, which became very popular.
From 2010 to 2011, Tammin had a recurring role in the Disney Channel Original Series Hannah Montana. She appeared in eight episodes. In 2010, she was cast in the mystery series Pretty Little Liars. Tammin played Jenna Marshall, a teenage girl who became blind after a prank. She continued playing Jenna even during her pregnancy.
Tammin also played Sarah Corso in the indie film Driving By Braille, released in 2013. In 2014, she released a song with singer Joe Brooks, covering "Say Something".
In January 2022, Tammin joined the cast of the Australian soap opera Neighbours. She played Montana Marcel, a fashion designer.
Personal Life
On 24 August 2011, Tammin Sursok married actor, producer, and director Sean McEwen in Florence, Italy. They have two daughters, born in October 2013 and January 2019. Tammin also has three dogs.
In 2016, Tammin shared a personal story on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself as a teenager and talked about being bullied because of her weight. She started a campaign called #ThisIsBeautiful to help people feel good about themselves. She wrote, "You are beautiful. I was beautiful. It just took me a long time to love myself." This message encourages everyone to love who they are.
In 2019, Tammin became an American citizen. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her family moved back to Australia for a movie role.
