Helping Venezuelan Families

Flor Chalbaud played a key part in creating the Bolivarian Ladies Society. This organization was usually led by the First Lady of Venezuela. Its main goal was to help mothers and children across the country. They wanted to make sure families had the support they needed.

Between 1953 and 1954, the society started many projects. They opened kindergartens and schools for children. They also created playgrounds and special centers for mothers. On holidays, they would give toys to children. These activities helped many Venezuelan families.

Later Years

Flor Chalbaud stayed with her husband, Marcos Pérez Jiménez, during his years living outside Venezuela in Spain. She remained by his side until he passed away in Alcobendas. Flor Chalbaud herself died in January 2013. She was 91 years old.
