Florencio Molina Campos (born August 21, 1891 – died November 16, 1959) was a famous Argentine artist. He was known for his paintings and drawings of traditional scenes from the Pampa. The Pampa is a large grassland area in Argentina. His art often showed gauchos, who are Argentine cowboys, with a funny twist.

Life of Florencio Molina Campos
Molina Campos was born in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina. His first art show was in 1926. It took place at the Central Hall of the Argentine Rural Society.
After seeing his art, Marcelo Torcuato de Alvear was very impressed. He was the President of Argentina at that time. The president then made Molina Campos an art teacher. He taught at a school called "Colegio Nacional Avellaneda."
Working with Alpargatas
In 1930, a company named Alpargatas asked Molina Campos for help. This company made espadrilles, which are a type of shoe. They wanted him to create 12 drawings for their 1931 calendar.
He used a painting method called gouache for these drawings. The calendar was a huge hit! Because it was so popular, Molina Campos kept making drawings for Alpargatas. He continued to provide art for their calendars for the next 12 years.
Art Shows and Recognition
Molina Campos's art became known around the world. In 1942, he had an art show in the United States. This show was at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. After that, his art traveled to other cities across the United States.
Later, in 1956, he had another important show. This one was at the Witcomb Gallery in his hometown, Buenos Aires.
Working with Walt Disney

From the late 1940s to the mid-1950s, Molina Campos worked with his friend Walt Disney. He was a creative artist and advisor for Disney's studio. They even traveled to Bariloche in Argentina together.
During their trips, they worked on ideas for the 1942 animated movie, Bambi. Molina Campos helped create the look of the animals and trees in the film. The style of the movie's nature scenes looks like the wild areas of Victoria Island. This island is found on Nahuel Huapi Lake in Argentina's Patagonia region.
As an advisor for Disney, he also helped with other animated films. These were often collections of short cartoons. Some of the most famous ones include:

- Its follow-up, The Three Caballeros (1945)
- Fun and Fancy Free (1947)
- He also helped with the original movie poster for Alice in Wonderland (1951).
Later Life and Awards
In 1946, Molina Campos wrote a book called Vida Gaucha. This book was a textbook for students learning Spanish in the United States.
In 1950, he won a special award. It was the Clarín Award, a gold medal. He received it at the 5th Argentine Artists Exhibition.
He also acted in a short film called Pampa Mansa. This film was shown at the 6th Berlin International Film Festival in 1956. Molina Campos attended the festival as an honored guest.
His last art show was held after he passed away in 1959. It was a tribute to his amazing work.
