Folletts is a small place in Clinton County, Iowa, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government.
Folletts is located right where 292nd Street and County Highway Z36 meet. You can find it on the north side of the Wapsipinicon River. It's about one mile west of Shaffton and three miles east of McCausland.

The Story of Folletts: A Look at Its Past
Early Beginnings: Ferry Service and Post Office
The history of Folletts began in 1837. A man named William Follett started a ferry service across the Wapsipinicon River. A ferry is like a boat that carries people and goods from one side of a river to the other. This was very important for travel back then.
Later, in 1884, Folletts got its own post office. This meant people could send and receive mail right in their community. However, the post office closed down in 1933.
