Clarence "Foots" Walker was born on May 21, 1951, in Southampton, New York. He is a former professional basketball player known for his skills as a point guard. Standing 6 feet tall, Foots Walker played for ten seasons in the NBA, which is the top basketball league in the world.

Early Life and College Basketball

Foots Walker showed his basketball talent early on. He played for the Vincennes Trailblazers from 1970 to 1972. During this time, he helped his team win a national championship in 1970. He played alongside another famous player, Bob McAdoo.

After Vincennes, Foots Walker transferred to the West Georgia College. There, he continued to shine. In 1974, he led the West Georgia Braves to another national championship. He was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 1974 NAIA tournament. This award showed how important he was to his team's success.

Playing in the NBA

Foots Walker was drafted into the NBA in 1974. He played for two teams during his ten-year career (1974–1984). His first team was the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played for them from 1974 to 1979.

One of his best games with the Cavaliers was on October 17, 1978. He scored a career-high 26 points in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This was a big achievement for him.

Foots Walker also made history with the Cavaliers in 1979. He was the first player on the team to get a triple-double. A triple-double means a player gets double-digit numbers (10 or more) in three different stats in one game. These stats are usually points, rebounds, and assists. It shows a player is great at many parts of the game.

After playing for the Cavaliers, Foots Walker joined the New Jersey Nets. He played for the Nets from 1980 to 1983. He continued to be a valuable player, known for his passing and playmaking skills.
