Meet the Voices Behind the Characters
The characters in Forget Me Not Farm come to life with the help of talented voice actors.
- Anna Carteret gives her voice to Trundle, Gracie, and Merthyr.
- Bob Peck is the voice for Dandelion, Burdock, Portly, and Topper.
How the Show Began
The idea for Forget Me Not Farm started with Mike Amatt. He first built a simple LEGO tractor. This tractor, which he called "Max Tractor," could move its lips and eyes using remote control.
After creating the tractor, Mike wanted a place for it to live. This led him to create the character of Scarecrow. The two crows, Dandelion and Burdock, would often sit on Scarecrow's arms. Mike showed his idea to Edward Pugh, who was in charge of children's shows at BBC North. Edward liked the idea and agreed to make a test episode.
Celia Bonner produced and directed the TV series. She also helped with the live stage show that toured later. Lyndon Evans Graphics did the animation for the show. Mike Amatt wrote all the scripts and songs himself. He also performed the songs as the Scarecrow character.
