Shu had changed its country name from "Shu" to "Han" in 917–918.
|
Former Shu (also known as Great Shu or Wang Shu) was a kingdom in China. It existed from 907 to 925 CE. This was during a time called the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. Many small kingdoms ruled different parts of China then.
The kingdom's name changed from "Shu" to "Han" between 917 and 918. It is important not to confuse this "Han" with another kingdom called Southern Han. Southern Han existed at the same time, but it was a different state.
