Fort Apache (which is called Tłʼog Hagai in the Apache language) is a small community in Navajo County, Arizona, United States. It's not a city with its own government. Instead, it's an "unincorporated community." This means it's a place where people live, but it's governed by the county or state.
The community of Fort Apache includes parts of the old U.S. Cavalry post, which was a military base. This area is now part of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. This reservation is the home of the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Fort Apache is located about 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Canyon Day. It also has its own post office with the ZIP code 85926.
