Another important person born in Fort Bayard in 1888 was Geoffrey Keyes. He grew up to be a United States Army officer. Keyes became famous for his work in Italy during World War II.
Later, in 1926, a man named Harry Stowers was born here. He became a judge on the Supreme Court. This shows that Fort Bayard has been home to many important people throughout history.
