What France Aviation Civile Services Does
France Aviation Civile Services works on many different projects to make air travel better and safer.
Keeping Flights Safe
One of their main jobs is to help with safety. They work on rules and checks to make sure airplanes and airports are very safe. This is called safety regulation and supervision.
Modernizing Air Traffic
They also help countries update their air traffic control systems. This means making sure planes can fly smoothly and safely, even when there are many flights. They help design new ways to manage airspace, which is like creating new roads in the sky.
Training Air Traffic Controllers
FRACS works with ENAC to train people who guide airplanes. These are called air traffic controllers. They learn how to talk to pilots and make sure planes take off, fly, and land safely.
Creating Aviation Information
The company also collects and creates important information about airports and airlines. This information can be used to plan flights and understand how busy different airports are.
Airport Flight Information Services
FRACS also offers AFIS services. This stands for Airport Flight Information Service. It's a special service that gives advice and information to pilots at smaller airports where there isn't full air traffic control. This helps pilots fly safely in and out of these airports.
