The France national men's volleyball team plays for France in international volleyball games. They are often called the Roosters or Team Yavbou. As of early 2023, they were ranked 3rd in the world.
The French team has been part of the World League since it started in 1990. They have had some great moments and some tough times. In 2006, they finished second. They won the World League in 2015 and again in 2017.
France has played in the Olympic Games five times. At the Rio 2016 Olympics, they finished ninth. Five years later, they won their first Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. They beat Russia in an exciting final match. In 2015, France also won the European Championship.

The French men's volleyball team has achieved great success in various international tournaments. They have won gold medals, silver medals, and bronze medals.
Olympic Games Success
France has competed in the Olympic Games several times. Their biggest achievement was winning the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. They are also automatically qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics as the host country.
World Championship Highlights
The team has participated in the World Championship many times. Their best result was winning a bronze medal in 2002 in Argentina. They also finished 4th in 2014.
World League and Nations League Victories
France has a strong record in the World League and its successor, the Nations League. They won the World League in 2015 and 2017. In the Nations League, they won gold in 2022 and 2024. They also earned silver in 2018 and bronze in 2021.
European Championship Wins
The French team has also performed well in the European Championship. They won their first gold medal in 2015. They have also won silver medals in 1948, 1987, 2003, and 2009. Additionally, they secured bronze medals in 1951 and 1985.
