Francisco José Carrasco Hidalgo (born on March 6, 1959) is a Spanish former football player. He also worked as a manager.
He was known by his nickname Lobo, which means "Wolf" in Spanish. Lobo Carrasco played as a winger. He spent most of his 14-year career playing for Barcelona. He played there for 11 seasons. With Barcelona, he won ten big trophies. These included the 1984–85 La Liga league title and three Cup Winners' Cups.
Carrasco also played for the Spanish national team for nine years. He represented Spain in the 1986 World Cup. He also played in two European Championships.

Playing for Clubs
Francisco Carrasco was born in Alcoy, a town in Valencian Community, Spain. He grew up playing in the youth system of FC Barcelona. He quickly became famous in La Liga (Spain's top league) and in Europe. People admired his amazing dribbling skills.
Early Career and Barcelona Debut
Carrasco first played for Barcelona's main team in the 1978–79 season. He also shined in the Cup Winners' Cup that same season. In the final match, Barcelona won 4–3 against Germany's Fortuna Düsseldorf. It was a very exciting game that went into extra time.
Time at Barcelona and Other Teams
Lobo Carrasco played 376 games for Barcelona. He helped the team win the league title in 1984–85. After his time with Barcelona, he played for three seasons with Ligue 1 club FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in France. He finished his playing career after a short time with UE Figueres. This was a return to his home region of Catalonia.
Becoming a Manager
After retiring as a player, Carrasco became a football manager. He managed Málaga B during the 2005–06 season. That team was relegated from the Segunda División (second division). In the 2007–08 season, he coached Real Oviedo, a team in a lower league.
Playing for Spain
Lobo Carrasco first played for the Spanish national team on April 4, 1979. It was a friendly match against Romania. The game ended in a 2–2 draw.
International Appearances and Goals
Overall, Carrasco played 35 matches for Spain. He scored five goals for his country. He was chosen to play in the UEFA Euro 1980 and 1984 European Championships. In Euro 1984, Spain finished as runners-up. Carrasco played in all five matches. He even scored a goal from a penalty kick against Romania in a 1–1 tie.
World Cup Participation
Carrasco was also part of the Spanish squad for the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. However, he did not play in any games during that tournament. Spain reached the quarter-finals in that World Cup.
