Franciszek Ziejka (born 3 October 1940 – died 19 July 2020) was a Polish expert. He was very good at studying and understanding Polish literature, which means Polish books, poems, and stories.

About Franciszek Ziejka

Franciszek Ziejka grew up in a large family with eight children. He was born in 1940. He went to Jagiellonian University to study Polish literature. There, he learned from a teacher named Wacław Kubacki.

In 1971, Franciszek Ziejka finished his big research project. This project was about the special meanings in a play called The Wedding by Stanisław Wyspiański. This project earned him a high university degree. Later, in 1991, he became a full university professor.

Professor Ziejka also taught Polish language and literature in other countries. From 1970 to 1973, he taught at the University of Provence in France. He also taught at the University of Lisbon in Portugal from 1979 to 1980. Then, from 1984 to 1988, he taught at a special school in France for languages and cultures.

In 1997, Franciszek Ziejka became a member of the Polish Academy of Learning in Kraków. This is a very important group of smart people who study different subjects. He also joined the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish PEN International Club, which is a group for writers.

Franciszek Ziejka wrote several plays that were shown on Polish television. Some of these plays include A Legend is Born, Polish October, and Traugutt. He also helped lead the scientific group at the Polish Library in Paris. He was also in charge of the Panteon Narodowy in Krakow, a special national site.
