Cesare Frank Figliuzzi, Jr. (born September 12, 1962) is an American author and a former agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He held a very important role as the Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI. This means he helped protect the United States from spies and secret threats from other countries.

Before this, Figliuzzi was the special agent in charge of the FBI's Cleveland Division. This division covers all of northern Ohio, including big cities like Cleveland, Toledo, and Youngstown. After leaving the FBI, Figliuzzi worked for General Electric (GE). He helped keep GE's 300,000 employees safe in many countries. Today, he is a Senior National Security and Intelligence Analyst for NBC and MSNBC News.

His Education Journey

His Career at the FBI

Figliuzzi started his career as a special agent with the FBI in August 1987. He worked in many different FBI offices across the country. These included Atlanta, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Miami, and Cleveland.

He served as the assistant special agent in charge of the Miami Field Office. This was one of the FBI's largest offices. From December 2005, he was the FBI's chief inspector. This role involved overseeing how the FBI operates.

In February 2011, the FBI Director at the time, Robert Mueller, appointed Figliuzzi to a very important position. He became the assistant director of the FBI's Counterintelligence Division.
