Frank Joseph Scott Wise (born 30 May 1897, died 29 June 1986) was an important Australian politician. He served as the 16th Premier of Western Australia from 1945 to 1947. He was a member of the Labor Party. Later, he also became the Administrator of the Northern Territory.

Early Life and Career
Frank Wise was born in Queensland, Australia. After finishing high school, he became a farmer, specializing in tropical fruits. He was very interested in agriculture and joined the Queensland Department of Agriculture. This job helped him learn a lot about farming and how to improve crops.
Moving to Western Australia
Later, Frank Wise moved to Western Australia to work with the WA Department of Agriculture. He played a big role in developing farming in the state. One of his notable achievements was bringing banana plants from Queensland. He helped establish banana farms in the Gascoyne region, especially around Carnarvon. This helped the local economy grow.
Political Journey
Frank Wise began his political career in Western Australia. He was elected to the Western Australian parliament in 1933. His knowledge of agriculture quickly made him stand out.
Minister for Agriculture
In 1936, Frank Wise became the Minister for Agriculture. In this role, he worked to support farmers and improve agricultural practices across the state. He helped make sure that Western Australia had strong farming industries.
Premier of Western Australia
In 1945, Frank Wise became the Premier of Western Australia. This meant he was the leader of the state government. He took over from John Willcock. As Premier, he led the state through an important time after World War II. His government worked on rebuilding and planning for the future.
However, his government was defeated in the 1947 election. After this, he became the Leader of the Opposition for four years. This role meant he led the main party not in power, challenging the government's decisions.
Administrator of the Northern Territory
