Frantz Yvelin is a French businessman and a pilot. He's known for starting several airlines. He used to be the President of Aigle Azur, which was France's second-biggest airline until August 2019. Before that, he created and managed two other French airlines: La Compagnie and L'Avion.

Becoming a Pilot
Frantz Yvelin became a commercial pilot when he was 21 years old. This means he was trained to fly planes for a living. He is qualified to fly many different types of airplanes, including:

Starting Airlines

L'Avion and OpenSkies
In 2006, he started his own airline called L'Avion. This airline was special because it was Europe's first airline that only offered business-class seats. Later, he sold L'Avion to British Airways. In 2009, L'Avion changed its name and became OpenSkies. Frantz Yvelin worked for OpenSkies for a while, helping with their plans and development.
Dreamjet Participations
In 2013, Frantz Yvelin teamed up with La Compagnie to create a French company called Dreamjet Participations. He was the President and CEO of this company until the end of 2016. In 2016, Dreamjet Participations bought another French airline called XL Airways.
Other Work
Frantz Yvelin also worked as an advisor for air transport, helping others understand the airline business. He also taught about how airlines work at a special school called the École nationale de l'aviation civile. In addition, he helped create a company in the USA that moves airplanes and tests them.
