Frantz Yvelin is a French businessman and pilot. He is known for creating and leading airlines. He was the President of Aigle Azur, which was France's second-largest airline, until August 2019. Before that, Frantz Yvelin started and managed two other French airlines: La Compagnie and L'Avion.

Frantz Yvelin's Early Life and Education
Frantz Yvelin became a licensed pilot when he was 21 years old. He is trained to fly many different types of airplanes. These include large passenger jets like the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. He can also fly the Boeing 757, Boeing 767, Cessna Citation, and McDonnell Douglas MD80.
Frantz Yvelin's Career in Aviation
Yvelin began his career working as a computer expert. He helped companies with their information technology (IT) systems.
Starting L'Avion Airline
In 2006, Frantz Yvelin started a new airline called L'Avion. This airline was special because it was Europe's first airline to offer only business-class seats. This meant all passengers had extra comfort and services. Later, he sold L'Avion to British Airways. In 2009, L'Avion changed its name to OpenSkies. After the sale, Yvelin helped guide OpenSkies for a while.
Creating Dreamjet Participations
In 2013, Frantz Yvelin co-founded a French company called Dreamjet Participations. He led this company as its President and CEO until 2016. Dreamjet Participations later bought another French airline, XL Airways, in 2016.
Teaching and Advising
Frantz Yvelin has also shared his knowledge about air travel. He worked as an advisor for air transport for three years. He also taught about how airlines work at the École nationale de l'aviation civile. This is a famous school for aviation in France. In addition, he helped create a company in the USA that moves and tests airplanes.
