Franzen is a small town located in Marathon County, Wisconsin, in the United States. It is part of the larger Wausau area. In 2010, about 578 people lived there. Two smaller communities, Galloway and Holt, are also found within the town of Franzen.

History of Franzen
The town of Franzen was named after a person called Christian Franzen. He was originally from Germany and served on the Marathon County Board, which is like a local government group.
