Fred Allen Berry (born March 19, 1951 – died October 21, 2003) was an American actor and street dancer. He was most famous for playing Freddie "Rerun" Stubbs. This was on the 1970s TV show What's Happening!!

About Fred Berry
Fred Berry was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in a city neighborhood. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming a dancer and an actor.
Early Life and Dance
Early in his career, Fred was part of a dance group called The Lockers. They were based in Los Angeles. He even appeared with them on Saturday Night Live in 1975. He also showed off his moves on the dance music show Soul Train. He was known for a dance step called "the slo-mo."
Becoming "Rerun"
Fred Berry became very well-known for his role as Freddie "Rerun" Stubbs. This was on the ABC TV show What's Happening!!. The show aired from 1976 to 1979. Fred was in his mid-20s at the time.
The character "Rerun" got his nickname because he had to repeat his classes. Fred became one of the most popular characters on the show. He was known for his red beret, suspenders, and cool dance moves. These were the same moves he used with The Lockers.
In 1985, Fred Berry played Rerun again in a new series called What's Happening Now!!. However, he left the show early. This was due to a disagreement about his pay.
Later Life and Legacy
In the 1990s, Fred Berry became a speaker who inspired people. He also became a Baptist minister. He lost a lot of weight after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Fred Berry had three children: DeShannon, Portia, and Freddy Jr.
On October 21, 2003, Fred Berry passed away at his home in Los Angeles. He was recovering from a stroke at the time. The cause of his death was natural causes. He is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
