Freddie L. Boyd (born June 13, 1950 – died October 8, 2023) was a talented American basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for six seasons. His career lasted from 1972 to 1978.

Early Life and College Career
Freddie Boyd was born in Bakersfield, California. He attended East Bakersfield High School in his hometown. After high school, he went on to play college basketball at Oregon State University.
Boyd played for the Oregon State Beavers from 1969 to 1972. He was a standout player during his time there. In 1971, he was named to the Second-team All-Pac-8. The following year, in 1972, he earned a spot on the First-team All-Pac-8.
