Frederick Thomas (born February 22, 1985 – died April 23, 2020) was an American DJ and rapper known as Fred the Godson. He was born in The Bronx, New York City. Fred the Godson became famous for his powerful rhymes and unique style in the hip-hop world.
Early Music Journey
Fred the Godson started his music career in the early 2010s. He released his first mixtape, Armageddon, in 2010. This mixtape featured samples from well-known artists like Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, Waka Flocka Flame, and Cam'ron.
His second mixtape was called City of God. This project was part of a popular series for DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz. For City of God, Fred the Godson worked with big names such as P. Diddy, Pusha T, and Raekwon.
Active Years in Music
From 2011 to 2020, Fred the Godson was very active in music. He regularly released new songs and performed live. He also appeared as a guest DJ on Hot 97, a famous radio station in New York.
