Freddie Nelle Webb (born November 24, 1942) is a famous Filipino who was a basketball player and coach. He also worked in politics and was a well-known person on television and radio.

Education and Family Life
Early Schooling and College
Freddie Webb went to San Beda College for his elementary education. Later, he studied at Colegio de San Juan de Letran. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Letran.
His Family
Freddie Webb is married to Elizabeth Pagaspas. She is from Tanauan, Batangas. They have six children together. Some of their children are Hubert, Pinky, and Jason Webb.
Basketball Career
Playing Days
Freddie Webb started his basketball journey with the Letran Knights from 1960 to 1964. He became a star player for his college team. After college, he played in a league called the MICAA. He played for the YCO Painters from 1965 to 1975.
Later, he joined the PBA, which is a professional league. He played for the Tanduay Rhum Makers from 1976 to 1978. He was also part of the Philippine national basketball team. This team competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics.
Coaching Career
After he stopped playing in 1978, Freddie Webb became a coach. He coached YCO-Tanduay from 1981 to 1983. He also coached Shell in 1985 in the Philippine Basketball Association. In 1975, he coached his old college team, Letran, for one season. His team finished as the runner-up to the Ateneo Blue Eagles.
Political Career
Starting in Local Government
Freddie Webb began his political journey in 1971. He was elected as a city councilor in Pasay. He served in this role until 1978.
Serving in Congress
In 1987, Webb ran for a seat in the House of Representatives of the Philippines. He won and became the first representative for Parañaque. He was part of the Lakas ng Bansa party. From 1987 to 1988, he was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Congressmen of the Year. He helped create the Sangguniang Kabataan, which is a youth council, in the Local Government Code of 1991.
Becoming a Senator
In 1992, Freddie Webb was elected as a Senator. He placed 12th in the election, earning a six-year term. He was a member of the LDP party. As a Senator, he led several important committees. These included the Senate Committee on Health and Demography and the Committee on Games and Amusements.
He also led the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on AIDS and the Congressional Commission on Health. He helped write and pass several important laws. These laws included the National Health Insurance Act (R.A.7875) and the Hepatitis-B Immunization Act (R.A. 7846). He also worked on laws for corneal transplants, voluntary blood donation, and benefits for Barangay Health Workers.
Later Political Attempts
Webb tried to be re-elected as Senator in 1998 but was not successful. In 2001, he tried to return to politics in Pasay. He ran for the lone district of Pasay under the PDP–Laban party but lost the election.
Television and Radio Career
Freddie Webb started working in movies and television while he was still a basketball player. He also became a radio personality and a sportscaster.
After 1972, he hosted a daily show called Pa-bandying, Bandying on RPN. He became very famous when he joined the TV show Chicks to Chicks in 1979. He played Jimmy Capistrano, who owned a modeling agency. He was paired with comedienne Nova Villa, who played his funny wife, Ines Capistrano. Their comedy team was very popular, and they had a famous line: "Sweetheart, ligo na tayo" (which means "Sweetheart, let's take a bath").
