What Happens in Freeglader?
Freeglader begins in Undertown, the main city of the Edge. A huge, dark storm called a maelstrom is slowly destroying the city. This storm was caused by a character named Vox Verlix. Because of this danger, the people of Undertown decide to leave their homes. They plan a big journey to find a new place to live.
The Journey to the Free Glades
Their goal is a beautiful area known as the Free Glades. This place is known for being fair and equal for everyone. The main hero of the story, Rook Barkwater, leads this journey. He is helped by a group of smart people called the librarian knights.
During their trip, Rook gets caught in a bad storm near the Twilight Woods. This causes him to lose his memory. Later, when the group reaches the Deepwoods, they are attacked. Fierce creatures called Shrykes, which have just hatched, attack them. Luckily, the Freeglade Lancers arrive just in time to save the Undertowners and Librarians. A character named Xanth also helps by defeating the Roost mother, a key Shryke.
New Plans and New Dangers
Meanwhile, another character named Amberfuce reaches the Foundry Glade. There, he meets his partner and shares plans for special weapons. These weapons are called Glade Eaters, and they were designed by Vox Verlix. Amberfuce, his partner, and the Goblin Nations then start planning an attack. Their target is the peaceful Free Glades.
Rook Joins the Fight
Rook eventually gets his memory back. He decides to join the Free Lancers, a group of brave fighters. Xanth, who was once in trouble, is now cleared of any wrongdoing. He joins the Librarian Knights. For several months, everything is calm and peaceful in the Free Glades.
The Big Battle and Its Outcome
Then, the attack comes. Huge Glade Eaters, supported by armies from the Goblin Nations, cause a lot of damage. They destroy most of the Free Glades before they are finally stopped. Many groups fight bravely against the attackers. These include the Sky Pirates, the Librarian Knights, the Freeglade Lancers, and the Ghosts of Screetown.
Even with their strong efforts, they are outnumbered. The banderbears, another group of allies, arrive to help, but it's still a tough fight. However, at the very last moment, many peaceful goblins decide to revolt. They turn against their own leaders, the Goblin Chieftains, and defeat them. This sudden turn of events ends the war. After the fighting stops, everyone works together to rebuild the Free Glades.
