Freya Olivia Rose Ridings (born on April 19, 1994) is an English singer and songwriter. She also plays several instruments.
Freya became well-known in 2017 with her song "Lost Without You". This song became a top ten hit in the UK Singles Chart. She then released her first collection of songs, called an extended play (EP), titled You Mean the World to Me in 2019.
Her first full album, named Freya Ridings, came out later that year. The song "Castles" from this album helped her become famous around the world.

Early Life and Family
Freya Olivia Rose Ridings grew up in North London, specifically in an area called Palmers Green. Her father, Richard Ridings, is an English actor and musician.
Freya learned to play the guitar by watching her dad. She went to St Christopher School and later to the BRIT School when she was 16.
Freya has dyslexia, which means she learns differently. In November 2022, she married folk singer Ewan J. Phillips.
Music Career Highlights
Freya Ridings released her first song, "Blackout", on May 5, 2017. She also released a cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs song "Maps" in June 2017.
In September 2017, she released her first live album, Live at St Pancras Old Church. After this, she went on her first big tour around the UK. She also opened for other artists like Tears for Fears and Lewis Capaldi.
Her song "Lost Without You" came out in November 2017. It became very popular after being shown on the TV show Love Island. The song reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart.
In March 2018, she released her second live album, Live at Omeara. She also released the song "Ultraviolet" in June 2018.
In 2019, Freya released the song "You Mean the World to Me". This was followed by an EP with the same name. She also announced her first album, Freya Ridings, which came out on July 19, 2019.
In June 2019, Freya performed at the famous 2019 Glastonbury Festival. The festival's founder, Michael Eavis, even came to one of her concerts. In March 2020, Freya toured Australia for the first time.
In January 2023, Freya released "Weekends", her first new song in three years. She then announced her second studio album, Blood Orange, which was released on April 28, 2023.
Freya was supposed to perform at the Coronation Concert for King Charles III in May 2023. However, she had to cancel because she got sick.
In June 2023, Freya helped write and sang the song "Rise". This song was featured in the teen comedy movie Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken. On November 9, 2024, her song "I Can't Hear It Now" was used in the animated TV series Arcane.
