Lewis Marc Capaldi (born October 7, 1996) is a Scottish singer and songwriter. He is famous for his powerful voice and emotional songs. His 2018 single "Someone You Loved" became a huge hit around the world. It was number one in the United Kingdom for seven weeks. It also reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"Someone You Loved" won the 2020 Brit Award for Song of the Year. That same year, Capaldi also won the Brit Award for Best New Artist. The song became the longest-running top 10 UK single by a British artist.
Capaldi's first album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (2019), was also very successful. It was the best-selling album in the UK in both 2019 and 2020. His second album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent, came out in 2023 and featured the hit single "Forget Me".

Early life
Lewis Capaldi was born in Glasgow, Scotland. When he was four, his family moved to the town of Whitburn. He is the youngest of four children. Capaldi's love for music began when he was just four years old. He sang on stage during a family vacation in France.
He started learning to play the guitar at age nine. Soon after, he began writing his own songs. With help from his older brother, he started performing his music in local pubs.

How It All Started (2014–2016)
In 2014, Capaldi joined a music project called Hit the Road that let him tour around Scotland. When he was 18, a manager named Ryan Walter discovered him. Personal life
Capaldi is a big fan of the Scottish football team Celtic F.C. He is related to the actor Peter Capaldi, who is his second cousin once removed. Peter even appeared in the music video for "Someone You Loved".
In 2022, Capaldi shared that he has Tourette's syndrome, a condition that can cause him to make involuntary movements or sounds called tics. In April 2023, a Netflix documentary called How I'm Feeling Now was released, which gave fans a closer look at his life and career.
