Paolo Nutini's Early Life and Music Journey
Paolo Nutini was born in Paisley, Scotland. His father is Scottish with Italian roots, and his mother is Scottish. Many expected him to join the family fish and chip shop business. However, his grandfather and a school teacher saw his musical talent and encouraged him to sing.
Paolo left school to work as a roadie and sell T-shirts for a band called Speedway. He spent three years learning about the music business and performing live. He also worked in a recording studio in Glasgow, where he started making demo songs.
His big break came in 2003. He was at a show for singer David Sneddon in Paisley. When Sneddon was delayed, Paolo got to sing a few songs on stage. The audience loved him! This led to him getting a manager, Brendan Moon, who still manages him today.
At 17, Paolo moved to London. He performed often in pubs and on radio shows. He even got to open for famous artists like The Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse, and KT Tunstall. People often noticed that he sang with his eyes closed during his performances.
