From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess is a fun children's novel written and illustrated by Meg Cabot. It was released on May 19, 2015. This book is a spin-off from Cabot's popular The Princess Diaries series.

The story is about Olivia, a 12-year-old girl who discovers a huge secret. She finds out she is the half-sister of Princess Mia Thermopolis. Olivia's adventures are told like a diary, with cool illustrations by the author herself. Meg Cabot has said that Olivia is different from Mia. Olivia is more calm and stable. She is also very excited to find out she is a princess and has new family members. She truly appreciates her grandmother and loves this big change in her life.

What is the Story About?

Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison thinks her life is pretty ordinary. She is good at art, but everything else feels average. Her life has been mostly quiet, especially since she is a half-orphan.

But everything changes when Princess Mia arrives! Mia invites Olivia to meet her father, Prince Phillipe. This means Mia is Olivia's half-sister. Suddenly, Olivia is whisked away to live with her father and half-sister. She is now a princess in training!

Olivia has to wonder how this big change will affect her. Will she have to leave behind everyone she has ever known? Follow Olivia's journey as she learns what it means to be a modern-day princess.
