Frooti is a super popular mango-flavored drink from India. It's made with real mango concentrate and natural flavors. This tasty drink is the most successful product from a company called Parle Agro.
Frooti first came out in 1985 in special TetraPak cartons. Now, you can also find it in plastic PET bottles and other rectangular packs. Frooti is so loved that it's sold in many countries around the world! You can find it in places like the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and many more.
The Story of Frooti
Frooti started as a ready-to-drink mango juice in a green rectangular Tetra Pak carton. Even though it wasn't the very first mango drink, it quickly became a huge hit. By June 2020, Frooti had captured a big part of the market, with 25.6% of all mango drink sales!
The famous slogan, "Mango Frooti, Fresh and Juicy," was created by two marketing experts, Arun Lahori and GM Menon. Their goal was to make people think of Frooti whenever they thought of something fresh and juicy. Other catchy phrases for the brand have included: "Fresh and juicy got to be Frooti" and "Juice Up your Life."
Many famous stars have helped advertise Frooti. These include Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Alia Bhatt, and Shah Rukh Khan. The company even spent 40% more on its marketing in 2013 to make sure everyone knew about Frooti!
What's Inside Frooti?
Frooti is made with several ingredients that give it its delicious mango taste. The main ingredients are mango pulp, water, and sugar. It also contains citric acid, ascorbic acid, salt, and some coloring and flavoring.
Each 250 mL serving of Frooti has about 33.7 grams of sugar.
How Frooti is Packaged
Frooti comes in many different sizes of Tetra Pak cartons. You can find it in 1 liter, 250 mL, 200 mL, and even 125 mL packs.
People who bought Frooti often wished for a bottle that could be re-closed. At the time, most mango drinks didn't have this option. So, Parle Agro listened to its customers! They started selling Frooti in special, clean PET bottles.
Now, Frooti is available in many sizes of PET bottles. These include 200 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 600 mL, 1.2 liters, and 1.8 liters.
